Beach recharge begins on £14m Dawlish Warren beach management scheme

Work on recharging the scheme in Dawlish Warren as part of a £14million engineering project aimed at reducing the risk of flooding to over 2,900 properties around the River Exe has begun.

The scheme, that it predicted to bring economic benefits of £158milllion, is being led by the Environment Agency, contractor BMMJV and Teignbridge Council.
