ICES welcomes first IEng

The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) has welcomed its first incorporated engineer through the ICES route. Andy Steele, a technical director with Amey, achieved this level of professional registration with the Engineering Council on 9 April 2018. ICES president Ian Cowling said: “I am delighted that Andy has become an incorporated engineer. The qualification is well deserved and reflects his hard work throughout his career. He can be rightly proud to display IEng before his MCInstCES.”

Routes to both incorporated engineer and chartered engineer are available to ICES members. Full details can be found online at: www.cices.org/chartered-engineer/ or from the ICES stand at Marine & Coastal Civil Engineering Expo from 12-13 September at Birmingham’s NEC.
